Project Navigators - Break the Cycle: Math Development for Most At-Risk of Faili

Project Navigators to provide strategic oversight, advise and advocate for CORE Elements, a 12 month pilot mathematics development program for middle-school students who are most at-risk of failing. CORE Elements will provide building blocks to equip underrepresented youth for STEM literacy. Studies show, students who have not achieved grade-level math skills by the seventh grade, might not be placed at the appropriate level of math in the ninth grade, and may not be able to take courses that are required for college entrance. Positions in the STEM fields are well-paid, and highly sought after, but require a college education. Math placement will directly affect ability to attend college and graduate. This program identifies areas where participants are currently deficient in math, develops Individual Math Study Plans, assist in bridging learning gaps that discourage participants from grasping new math concepts, and is designed to strengthen math skills already acquired, to build capacity for STEM. To ensure the success of this project we are looking for innovative people who are skilled in the following areas:EducationDigital EngineeringLeadershipAdministrationCareer DevelopmentFinanceScienceTechnology
